The Scottish National Gallery, Edinburgh, is situated in the heart of the capital and features works by Rembrandt, Raphael, and Van Gogh, as well as Scotland’s most important historical artists. Join me today for a 2021 tour of the collection, accompanied by my own “unique” brand of commentary.
First opening its doors to the public in 1859, the Scottish National Gallery, Edinburgh, was designed by renowned architect William Playfair. The gallery currently houses Scotland’s national collection of fine art, spanning Scottish and international art from the beginning of the Renaissance up to the start of the 20th century.
If you enjoyed this 2021 tour video about the Scottish National Gallery, perhaps you’d be kind enough to leave a like, a comment, and even a subscription to my channel. I’ve got many fun (i.e. daft) and informative travel videos, vlogs, and guides from Edinburgh and beyond… And don’t forget: it’s FREE to subscribe on YouTube, so why the heck not?

A huge thanks for watching this daft tour video of the Scottish National Gallery. On a serious note, it’s a great gallery and one I’ve been visiting since I was at school. I highly recommend a 1-hour visit if you’re in Edinburgh and looking at classic art floats your boat!
