Vegetable nuggets turn out perfectly like the ones those you get in the cafe. These turn out nice, crunchy outside and light soft inside. This is an easy and real quick recipe. These nuggets don’t need too many fancy ingredients but can be made from the ingredients those are easily available in your kitchen. I am sure everyone from your family will love this recipe. Ingredients:
• 3 medium size boiled, peeled Potatoes
• 1/2 cup grated Carrot
• 1/2 cup finely chopped Capsicum
• Mixed herbs
• Chili flakes
• Garlic paste
• Salt to taste
• Bread slice
• 1/2 cup Corn flour
• 1/2 cup Maida
• Salt to taste
• Water
• Bread crumbs
• Oil for frying
Method:
• Mash the potatoes well with masher and add carrot, capsicum, mixed herbs, chili flakes,
garlic, salt.
• You can grate the boiled potatoes if you want.
• You can add veggies of your choice.
• You can use pizza seasoning in place of mixed herbs.
• You can use garlic powder in place of garlic paste.
• Mix everything well together.
• Cut the bread into pieces with hands and mix it well into the dough.
• You can blend bread in mixer and use it.
• You can use bread crumbs or poha powder in place of bread.
• Take some portion of the dough and roll it into nugget.
• For making batter for nuggets take corn flour in a bowl and add maida, salt. Mix well.
• Add a little water at a time to make thick batter.
• Dip the nuggets into the batter and coat them well with breadcrumbs. This is single coat.
• You can go for double coat too.
• Dip these nuggets into the batter again and coat well with bread crumbs.
• This double coat will help you to make perfectly cafe style nuggets.
• Veg nuggets are ready to fry.
• You can store these double coated nuggets in freezer for about 3 months or for about 3-4
days in freeze.
• Heat up oil on medium heat in a pan.
• Drop nuggets in hot oil and fry well on medium heat.
• After frying for about 2-3 minutes, rotate them a little and fry well.
• When nuggets are fried well take them out, drain excess oil and transfer into a dish.
• Vegetable nuggets are all ready.
• You can have them as it is or with mayonnaise dip or pizza sauce or chili sauce too.
• You can stuff a piece of cheese and make veg cheese nuggets
